The Brief

To renovate and convert a derelict aisled barn to create a contemporary family home.

Our Approach

High Royd Barn wasn’t without its challenges…
The building height, eaves and structure made it a challenge to get the desired accommodation in, however, this was resolved through the introduction of dormers, which were created and designed to remain as in-keeping with the traditional structure of the house as possible.
Stone work on the gable ends was also in need of extreme repair and careful work had to be carried out to restore the original stonework.

The Result

A beautiful contemporary home, with a high end contemporary interior, and a characteristic, traditional exterior, with timber framed features.
